Self Photo (wearing headphones is a common sight as I walk about town) |
As an avid fan of music, dance and art of all types I try to get in as much as I can. This blog is meant to chronicle my adventures or videos or photos that interest me. I also like to dabble in the arts. I graduated from the Armed Forces School of Music in 1988 and played flute with the Army Band in Ft Jackson for a time. I still play an EWI (Electric Wind Instrument) Below is a video that I made to demonstrate. It was discovered and gifted by my husband one Christmas much to my delight and surprise since I had no idea it existed. I also enjoy taking photos with my i-phone and my Sony NEX camera. My favorite time to shoot is when its foggy. There is something hauntingly beautiful about it. I was blessed to have my photos featured as part of two Art on the Towns in Appleton and sold them out of two different stores. I also had them displayed in a gallery for a Women's Fund Event and donated several photos for silent auction for a variety of charities. Although my work was selling, the return was not worth the investment and running a business was taking too much time away from the other things I enjoy. However, I still would love to gift photos for silent auction, let me know if you need one by e-mailing me at hstigen@yahoo.com. I also enjoy praise dancing and attend a class that is taught by my stepmom. It is so much fun worshipping God through dance! Using fan scarves, I am currently working on dance for a song by Karate School called Morning Song. I have worked at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center for 14 years. This has given me opportunities to attend many of the shows there.
